Job summary

Sheringham Woodfields School in Norfolk is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to support lunchtime routines for pupils with complex needs. You will help meet personal needs, supervise in the dining room and play areas under the duty teacher’s guidance, and promote safe, inclusive activities.

We provide full induction and ongoing CPD; pre-employment checks including Enhanced DBS are required. This role supports safeguarding and welfare across the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with SEN and challenging behaviours is desirable.
• Full induction and training will be given to the successful applicants.
• You will be subject to pre-employment checks including Enhanced DBS and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective support at lunchtimes to ensure pupils are safe and have their personal needs met.
• Supervise pupils under the direction of the duty teacher, in play areas, dining room, classrooms or during transitions between locations.
• Assist with adherence to school procedures and promote safe, inclusive play.
