About the Role

SET Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant for full-time positions across South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with SEN experience who are looking to make a real difference in the lives of students. Applicants must be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle, as travel between schools or placements may be required.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support classroom activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress.

  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.


Requirements


  • Must have previous experience working with children with SEN.

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable.


Application Process

Candidates will initially be signed up with SET Recruitment. Following a 12-week working period at the school, a decision will be made by the school on whether to offer a trial period. If successful, there is the potential for the role to become permanent.
