Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is seeking an experienced SEN LSA for a welcoming primary school in Lambeth. You will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD, helping them access learning and participate in daily lessons.

The school is committed to inclusion and a positive environment with around 300 pupils. The ideal candidate is patient and proactive, able to build rapport with pupils and staff, and comfortable adapting approaches to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential
• Experience with visual timetables, sensory strategies, communication support or positive behaviour approaches would be highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD, helping them access learning and communicate effectively throughout the school day
• Support the pupil's academic progress, social development, emotional regulation, and independence in class, in collaboration with the teacher and SEN team

The role will involve supporting the pupil with their academic progress, social development, emotional regulation and independence throughout the school day.The ideal candidate will be someone who is patient, proactive and able to build a genuine rapport with pupils. You will need to be confident adapting your approach to suit the child's individual needs and working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure consistent support.Experience with visual timetables, sensory strategies, communication support or positive behaviour approaches would be highly advantageous.
