SEN Teaching Assistant
Hillingdon, West London
£100 - £105 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant specialist educational setting in Hillingdon. This inclusive environment supports children and young people aged 7 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, often combined with autism, communication challenges, and complex needs.

The setting offers a holistic, therapeutic approach, with a strong focus on enabling every learner to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. As part of a highly experienced and nurturing team, you will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum and develop life skills.

The desired SEN Teaching Assistant will:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN across a range of subjects and activities

  • Implement structured learning programmes and individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Use communication aids, sensory tools, and visual strategies to enhance engagement

  • Support students with personal care, emotional regulation, and social interaction

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams

  • Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and respectful learning environment
