Job summary

Senploy is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist school setting across North Yorkshire, with opportunities for full-time, part-time and flexible day-to-day work in Bedale and Ripon areas. You will work alongside teachers and specialists to support pupils aged 3 to 16, helping with learning, development and wellbeing.

The role offers a warm, inclusive school environment and a chance to contribute to individualised pupil progress within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and empathetic.
• Experience with SEN or education is advantageous but not essential.
• Able to support pupils 3–16 in a specialist setting with patience and sensitivity.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers and families.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on an individual or small-group basis.
• Assist pupils to access learning and classroom activities.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils' emotional and physical wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, therapists and other professionals.
