Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for Bromley. 35 hours per week, 24/08/2026 - 02/07/2027, with a salary of £26,803–£27,597. DBS check required for Child & Adult Barred List.

Supports learners’ educational and social development under supervision, promotes independence, and helps with progress reviews. Strong communication and IT skills essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English.
• Experience working in a multicultural setting and/or with SEN learners.
• Understanding of safeguarding, disability awareness and learner support needs.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with learners and staff.
• Strong communication and IT skills.
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting learner progress.

Responsibilities

• Support learners' educational and social development under the direction of teaching and support staff.
• Encourage independence, self‑advocacy, and development of study skills.
• Assist with assessing learner progress and contributing to person‑centred support plans.
• Provide personal care and mobility assistance where required.
• Identify and reduce barriers to learning using appropriate strategies.
• Ensure learners can access specialist equipment, support services and classroom activities.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals when needed.
• Participate in meetings and reviews to support learner development.
