SEN Teaching Assistant | Exeter, Devon

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is offering an exciting opportunity to join our partner school in Exeter, working within a specialist SEN provision.

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Pay: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience)

About our Partner School:

Teaching Personnel’s partner school in Exeter offers personalized education for students with complex needs, including those with EHCPs. The school provides a bespoke learning experience with one-to-one support, using a trauma-informed approach to help students succeed.

The curriculum focuses on core subjects like English, mathematics, and science, along with PSHE. Students engage in both on-site lessons and community activities, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support for students with SEN within a trauma-informed setting
  • Work closely with teachers to implement and adjust personalized learning plans
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment to support students' emotional and social development
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for supporting young people with SEN
  • Education or care experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
  • Must have Full UK Drivers License and access to own car
