Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an SEN Job Coach in Worthing to support SEN learners on a Supported Internship programme. Responsibilities include identifying work opportunities, assisting learners during placements, and ensuring course progress. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience with SEN learners and the ability to travel. This is a permanent full-time position with a salary between £24,500 - £30,000.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with SEN learners, either in the classroom or workplace.
• Worked with learners aged 16-18 who are part of employability programmes.
• Confidence to progress in role and engage with potential employers.

Responsibilities

• Identify suitable work opportunities for learners.
• Support SEN learners in the workplace during work experience.
• Understand and address learners' difficulties.
• Collaborate with Tutor and Employer Engagement Officer for suitable placements.
• Ensure learners are on track with course progress.

Job description

Morgan Hunt are working with a market leading Welfare to Work provider who are recruiting for an SEN Job Coach in Worthing. This role will involve supporting SEN learners within the workplace currently on a Supported Internship programme. This is a full time permanent role. The salary for this role is paying between £24,500 - £30,000.



The SEN Job Coach will be responsible for:

• Identifying suitable work opportunities for learners
• Supporting SEN learners in the workplace whilst in their work experience placements
• Having a clear understanding of the learners difficulties and addressing these
• Collaborating with the Tutor and Employer Engagement Officer to ensure suitable placements are sourced
• Ensuring the learner is on track with their course progress

The SEN Job Coach will need to have:

• Experience of working with SEN learners either in the classroom or the workplace
• Worked with learners aged 16-18
• Experience in working on employability programmes
• The confidence in order to progress in the role to eventually engage with employers
• The ability to travel across various sites
