Are you a graduate interested in supporting children with autism and complex needs while gaining valuable experience in a primary school setting?


SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Start September 2025, finish July 2026
  • £80 - £90 per day
  • ‘Good’ primary school, Selly Oak
  • 1:1 and small group support to children with autism/complex needs

This is a rewarding opportunity for a graduate to support children with autism and complex needs in a primary school environment. As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils and small groups, providing tailored interventions to help them engage with learning and reach their full potential. You will support both the class teacher and SENCO to ensure that children with special educational needs are fully included and supported in their learning.


The school is looking for a compassionate and dedicated graduate who:

  1. Holds a degree (any subject, though education or psychology-related is desirable).
  2. Has a genuine interest in supporting children with autism and complex needs.
  3. Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with children.
  4. Is considering a career in education or special educational needs.
