SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision
Location: Banbury (OX16)
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Start Date: September
Salary: £480 - £520 per week – term time only

Who are Step Into Teaching?
We’re a pre-teacher training programme designed to support graduates into meaningful roles in education. We work with schools across the UK to place passionate individuals into year-long positions, offering valuable experience and a clear path toward teacher training or other education careers.

What can we offer?
We’re working with a supportive school in Banbury (OX16) that provides Alternative Provision for students with additional behavioural, emotional, or learning needs. They are seeking a graduate with experience working with young people to support pupils who may require extra guidance, consistency, and patience to succeed in their education.

For this role, the ideal graduate will:

  • Hold a degree (2:2 or above) in any subject

  • Have previous experience working with children or young people (this could be in a school, youth work, tutoring, or a care setting)

  • Be passionate about supporting students with special educational needs or behavioural challenges

  • Be calm, resilient, and confident when managing difficult situations

  • Be an excellent communicator and approachable team player

  • Be committed to making a positive impact every single day

The opportunity:

  • Location: Banbury (OX16)

  • Full-time role: Monday – Friday
