SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: South Shields

Start Date: September term of 2024

About the Role: GSL Education is currently seeking a passionate SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team in South Shields. This role involves providing support to students with special educational needs, assisting them in their learning and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored support to students with SEN.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Help with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks.
  • Support students in developing independence and confidence in their abilities.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a degree in Education or a related field.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with SEN.
  • Be committed to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students.
