SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Newcastle

Contract: Full Time/Part Time

Start: September term of 2024

GSL Education is looking for enthusiastic SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in school settings in Newcastle.

Job Summary: Provide tailored assistance to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to achieve their individual educational goals.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Genuine interest in working with children with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or volunteering with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
