Overview

SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant role in a Good primary school in Hall Green. Immediate start until July 2026. Salary £80 - £100 per day. One-to-one support for a pupil with Autism in Year 4.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 4 pupil with Autism throughout the school day
  • Help manage routines, access learning activities, and develop communication and social interaction
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt strategies and ensure the pupil’s needs are consistently met
The Candidate
  • Degree in any subject (2:2 or above)
  • Patient, empathetic approach; confidence, consistency, and the ability to build trust
  • Experience supporting children with Autism in school, care, or voluntary settings is advantageous
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Desire to work in education/with children and support individual pupil progress
