Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic teaching assistant with a passion for supporting early years learners?

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a warm and inclusive primary school in the NG7 area of Nottingham to recruit a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting. This long-term position is ideal for someone looking to make a real difference from day one.

About the Role:
  • Providing consistent 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with additional needs
  • Supporting communication and interaction through visual aids, routine prompts, and modelling language
  • Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting
  • Helping the child regulate emotions and manage transitions using calm strategies and sensory tools
  • Encouraging engagement with classroom activities and positive interaction with peers
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to deliver tailored support and track progress
The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience supporting children in EYFS or working 1:1 with pupils with SEND

Confident using a range of strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs

Patient, empathetic, and resilient

Strong teamwork and communication skills
