SEN English Teacher

Location: Liverpool Start Date: September Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified English teacher with SEN experience or a keen interest in working within a specialist setting. You'll be supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and SLD, helping them to engage with and enjoy the English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, accessible English lessons for SEN learners
  • Differentiate materials to meet a variety of individual needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive learning space that promotes confidence and growth
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals

Requirements:

  • UK-recognised QTS with a focus on English (or a related subject)
  • Right to work in the UK (we cannot offer visa sponsorship)
  • Enhanced DBS registered or willing to apply
  • Previous SEN experience in a UK school (desirable but not essential)
  • Confidence in adapting curriculum and supporting varied learning styles
  • Full-time availability: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
