I am working on behalf of a fantastic special school in Wiltshire that is looking for an SEN English teacher to join the team from September, leading KS3 classes. The school has recently undergone exciting developments, making it an excellent time to join!

The school caters to a range of special needs & disabilities, primarily focusing on ASD, ADHD & SEMH. Having placed many candidates here over the years, I can confidently say how rewarding the work is and how well-supported staff feel by their colleagues.

The role

This position involves leading English classes for KS3 students. Ideally, the successful applicant would feel comfortable planning & marking English lessons to KS3 standards, but the school is also open to applications from teachers willing to lead pre-planned lessons. The role is initially from September to December, with the possibility of extension for suitable candidates interested in a long-term position.

Given the needs of the students, it is essential that you feel confident working with ASD. QTS is preferred but not mandatory; applications from strong unqualified teachers with special school experience are welcome. This role offers flexibility for either short-term or long-term employment, depending on the candidate’s preference.
