Job summary

The University of Derby Buxton is seeking an Education Support Worker to assist students with SEN/SLD within the Learning Support/Institute of Education and Skills. Based at Buxton, you will play a key role in enabling access to the curriculum and supporting learners across pre-entry qualifications to higher degree apprenticeships.

You will contribute to individual programme planning, support sessions in person and online, and help learners progress while fostering a positive, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with a range of learning needs.
• Essential FE environment experience.
• Ability to plan individual programmes and adapt approaches.
• Strong communication and inclusive teaching approach.

• Support students with SEN/SLD in and out of class.
• Contribute to individual programme planning and progression.
• Assist with learning activities and online support where needed.
