Job summary

Norham High School invites applications for a Curriculum Support Assistant (CSA) working 37 hours per week during term time (193 days) in LG5. You will support pupils with a range of additional educational needs, providing 1:1 and small-group interventions and acting as a key worker for pupils to access the curriculum and wider school life.

The role requires understanding of behaviour management, scaffolding and visual strategies in class.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of behaviour management and how to use scaffolding and visual strategies in class to support pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject specific interventions to small groups and 1:1.
• Become the key worker for a number of pupils with additional needs and support access to the curriculum and wider school community.
• Develop effective working relationships with parents/carers and other agencies to promote a multi-agency approach to pupil support.
