Job description

A specialist school in Blandford Forum is seeking an SEN Cover Supervisor to join their team from 22nd April 2025. This full-time role supports students aged 5 to 16 with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them develop academically and personally in a nurturing environment.

This school takes a holistic and individualised approach to education, ensuring every student is valued and supported. With small class sizes and a focus on emotional well-being, students gain confidence, resilience, and essential life skills. The dedicated staff work closely with students, providing tailored support that fosters growth and success.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, keeping students engaged.
  • Support students' learning, behaviour, and well-being.
  • Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
  • Implement behaviour strategies that encourage self-regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with young people is beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
