Job summary

Academics is recruiting a committed Classroom Assistant for a friendly mainstream primary school in Stroud. You will support pupils with SEN, work with the class teacher to keep learners engaged and motivated, and help create a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

The role is full-time, 8:30am–3:30pm, ASAP start, with long-term temporary status and potential for permanency. A clear DBS is required or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Experience in mainstream primary education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons.
• Provide tailored SEN support to pupils.
• Work with pupils individually and in small groups.
• Help create a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
