Job summary

A leading educational support provider is seeking a dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil in Sheffield. Qualifications

We're recruiting for an SEN Classroom Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil in a primary school located in the S20 area of Sheffield. This full-time position starts immediately and continues through July-with the chance of continuing into the autumn term.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering 1:1 support during lessons and play

  • Supporting individual EHCP targets in a classroom context

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and self-esteem

  • Recording daily progress and flagging key observations to the SENCO

  • Ensuring inclusion in all class activities where possible

  • Supporting transitions throughout the school day

What we're looking for:

  • Prior experience working with SEN learners in KS1 or primary

  • Knowledge of ADHD, ASD, or speech & language needs preferred

  • Strong relationship-building skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
