If you’re dedicated to improving the lives of children, New Bridge is looking for you.

Why New Bridge?

“Staff are proud to work at the school. They are highly supported in their professional development” — Ofsted Report, February 2025

We are committed to making a difference and investing in staff development, fostering a sense of belonging, and aligning with our mission and values.

Part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust (MAT), the school caters to students aged 11-19 with a wide range of SEND, including moderate to profound and multiple learning difficulties, physical disabilities, multisensory impairments, autism, and more. All students have an EHC plan, and the school offers diverse provisions to meet their needs.

If you are committed to improving children's lives, building good relationships, and working with various stakeholders, you could be the right fit for our community-oriented, vocational-focused environment.

Community Living Class Teacher:

Our Community Living provision supports students working towards independence, with a curriculum tailored to maximize their abilities and support their wellbeing. The curriculum includes Living Skills, Pathway, Enrichment, Learning for Life, and RSE, delivered by class teachers and specialists, with group sizes of 9-13 students.

High emotional and physical resilience are essential, but the rewarding impact of helping young people achieve independence makes it worthwhile.

ICT Curriculum Lead Responsibilities:

Implement teaching and learning for Key Stage 5, collaborate with other leads, and develop an engaging curriculum aligned with student needs. Support staff development and ensure high-quality ICT education that develops functional skills for independent living and employment.

Previous SEN teaching experience is advantageous but not essential. We support professional growth and offer progression opportunities. The role may suit primary specialists or secondary practitioners interested in SEN.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Excellent practitioner with motivation to inspire
  • Experience or interest in teaching students with Autism or SEN
  • High expectations and commitment to raising standards
  • Experience with assessment, data, and progress tracking
  • Resilience and ability to build positive relationships
  • Team player and proactive professional

The post is initially based at New Bridge Learning Centre, with flexibility to work at other sites within the trust.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare. The post is subject to DBS checks, references, and right-to-work verification. An online search may be conducted as part of due diligence.
