Job summary

Polaris Education is seeking a SEN Class Teacher at Sutherland Hall School in Tamworth to plan and deliver high quality lessons within the national curriculum while meeting the complex SEMH needs of pupils.

The role requires QTS and a degree-level education, with previous teaching experience and a commitment to professional development. The position is full time, term-time only, 37.5 hours weekly, with a salary between 28,000 and 39,520 and benefits including a company pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high quality lessons within the national curriculum while meeting SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time including activities and trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and drive learning outcomes.
