Job summary

Booker Park School in Aylesbury is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher/Deputy Department Lead to support a dedicated team within a special needs environment. You will lead a designated class three days a week and assist with day-to-day department management two days a week, teaching with warmth and high expectations.

The role is term-time only with permanent status and a salary in the L1-L5 range (£51,773-£57,137).

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special educational needs.
• Ability to plan and adapt lessons for diverse needs.
• Willingness to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a designated class and manage classroom staff.
• Plan and deliver tailored learning to meet individual needs.
• Support the review and monitoring of behaviour incidents from classes within allocated classes, with support from the Deputy or Assistant Headteacher.
• Attend daily and weekly meetings and lead them as required.
