Your new school
Theschool supports approximately 35 pupils on roll to ensure that they can provideample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging andsupportive environment, specifically for those who will reintegrate back into amainstream setting. This group of schools prides itself on tailored support forpupils with social emotional and mental health needs which work towardsreintegration and the successful reduction of anti-social behaviour. The schoolconsists of a core team of the Head of School, Deputy Head of School, fiveteachers, and five support staff. Further support is also provided by regionaland national staff, who work with a number of schools across our group.
Your new role
Inyour new job as a Teacher with Hays, you will take on full-teachingresponsibility for this class of pupils with social, emotional and mentalhealth needs. You will support pupils both academically and pastorally with afocus on reintegrating pupils into mainstream education. You'll workcollaboratively with other teachers within the school to best address the needsof each pupil.
What you need to succeed
Tosucceed in your new job, you’ll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have aminimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in a SEND environment. You’re someonewho loves taking on a challenge and you enjoy adapting to new situations.You’ll have supported with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Healthneeds, Autism Spectrum Conditions and/or Attention Deficit HyperactivityDisorder. Most importantly, you’ll be confident stepping into a new school andready to support pupils with a range of needs.
