Job Title: SEN Caseworker

Location: Remote, East England

Contract: Full-time, Interim, 3 months

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Caseworker to join our team. This is a remote role, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

As a SEN Caseworker, you will manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met according to statutory guidelines. You will collaborate with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals to provide appropriate support and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring proper review, updates, and implementation.
  2. Provide advice and support to parents, carers, and schools regarding SEN provision and EHCP processes.
  3. Work with multidisciplinary teams to assess the needs of children and young people with SEND, meeting all statutory deadlines.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  5. Maintain accurate casework records and manage documentation efficiently.
  6. Advocate for children and young people's educational rights to promote positive outcomes.
