Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Portsmouth, supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs. You’ll become a trusted adult, helping students build resilience, confidence and positive routines that enable them to succeed.

The role requires QTS and a creative, adaptable teaching style with strong classroom management. DBS checks or willingness to obtain one are required.

Qualifications

• QTS required and eligibility to work in the UK.
• Experience with SEMH or behavioural needs desirable.
• Creative and adaptable teaching style.
• Excellent classroom management.
• DBS checked or willing to obtain DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Support pupils with EHCPs.
• Monitor academic and emotional progress.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment.
• Work closely with support staff and families.
