We are working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets that is seeking a dedicated SEN Autism Teacher to join their specialist team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children with autism and additional learning needs.

Role Details:
Position: SEN Autism Teacher - Primary
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 38,766 - 60,092 (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance, depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver individualised, engaging lessons for pupils with autism and complex learning needs
Create a structured, predictable, and sensory-aware learning environment
Use visual supports, communication aids, and differentiated resources effectively
Implement and monitor personalised education and behaviour support plans
Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, support staff, and families
Track and report on pupil progress, using appropriate SEN assessment tools
Promote emotional regulation and social development through tailored strategies
Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community
Who We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher with proven experience supporting children with autism in a primary or SEN setting
Skilled in using autism-specific strategies such as PECS, TEACCH, or Makaton
Calm, patient, and nurturing, with a strong commitment to inclusive education
Able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential
