Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in Llanelli, starting September 2026 and running through July 2027. The position is term-time only with a competitive weekly PAYE pay.

Training is provided and there's potential for career progression within specialist education settings. Ideal candidates will support pupils with autism and other learning needs, assisting teachers and promoting positive behaviour while developing learners' confidence and social

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships and work as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and additional learning needs.
Provide one-to-one and small group support.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, ALN professionals, and support staff.
