SEN Teacher - Cardiff

Job Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent opportunities)
Pay: 166.50 to 180 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available)

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? Academics, acting as a recruitment agency, is currently recruiting for experienced SEN Teachers to work in a range of schools across Cardiff.

This is a temporary role, ideal for professionals seeking flexible working arrangements or looking to gain experience in different educational settings. For the right candidate, permanent positions may also become available.



About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and SEMH)

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff and SENCOs

  • Create an inclusive, safe and engaging learning environment

  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual pupil needs



What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • A minimum of 6 months' teaching experience in an SEN setting

  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management

  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one through Academics

  • Relevant safeguarding and child protection training (we can assist with this if needed)



What We Offer:

  • Daily pay between 160 to 190, inclusive of holiday pay, based on your experience, training, qualifications and the rate available from the client
