Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time, passionate Nursery Assistant to join our Bright Horizons Sale setting. This role is 15 hours per week.

This nursery is OFSTED rated Outstanding, has excellent public transport links, and has been recently refurbished with a spacious garden.

Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team caring for children up to age 5
  • Engage children in interactive play, activities, reading, and learning curriculum
  • Communicate daily with parents about their child's activities
  • Create a safe, caring, and supportive environment
  • Support colleagues in children's development towards key milestones
  • Ensure child welfare, protection, health, safety, and safeguarding
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not essential (e.g., Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Effective communication skills with children and adults
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies
