Job description

Our client is developing cutting-edge, next generation compound semiconductors, and is a leader within the North East’s emerging semiconductor cluster. They are now searching for a Device Manager to be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of compound semiconductor device technologies. The role will involve development of new GaN and GaAs device technology from concept to production. Sustaining device engineering of existing technologies will be part of the role as well as leading the device engineering team.


Required skills for the Semiconductor Device Manager will include:

  1. Strong knowledge of GaN RF device technology
  2. Semiconductor device characterisation experience
  3. In-depth understanding of high-speed electronic device physics
  4. Team management experience
  5. Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering/Physics or other relevant degree
