Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Semi-Truck Driver to ensure the efficient and timely delivery to our Cooperative customers. This role also involves maintaining the vehicle in top condition, ensuring excellent service to members, and promoting team cohesion through effective communication and collaboration. Safety, customer satisfaction, and a commitment to teamwork arethe foundation of our operations and key to the success of this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Timely Deliveries: Ensure prompt and safe delivery of fertilizer, grain, and rock to Cooperative customers, consistently meeting delivery schedules and quality standards.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work a dynamic schedule, including varying days, shifts, and weekly hours, with the flexibility to work overtime when needed.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload the truck, ensuring that all safety regulations are followed during the process.
  • Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles and equipment. Handle regular upkeep and necessary repairs, promptly reporting any issues to management.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document sales tickets, receipts, and customer records (both current and prospective) in the route book. Maintain and update truck logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service by managing challenging or emotional situations with professionalism. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and consistently meet or exceed commitments.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Foster positive relationships through clear and effective communication with customers, team members, and management. Promote a collaborative work environment focused on achieving shared goals.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety at all times, both for yourself and for others.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Comply with all state and federal regulations, codes, and laws relevant to transportation, delivery, and industry practices.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about current energy trends and continuously expand your knowledge of the energy sector and related industry practices.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean and professional appearance, reflecting the values of the company.
  • Attendance & Reliability: Demonstrate punctuality and dependable attendance, ensuring that all duties are carried out as scheduled.
  • Other Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned to support the effective operation of the team and company.
