Job Description:

Are you a Semi Skilled Operative looking for a new position local to South Manchester?

The role is days based, working Monday – Thursday, within a Fabrication department in a large-scale engineering business.

This is an ongoing contract that could be long-term for the right candidate. The hourly pay rate is per hour, plus overtime at uplifted rates when available.

The Role:

• Perform various tasks in the FAB – Press and Paint departments to the required standards, as instructed by the Production Controller, Team Leader, or Manager.
• Must be hardworking, reliable, and well organized.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and willingness to implement new ideas.
• Calm under pressure with flexibility for this varied role.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Some experience operating CNC Machine Tools.
• Experience with Power Presses and associated equipment is beneficial.
• Experience (post-training) with CNC Press Brake bend and CNC Punch Press operation.
• Mechanically minded, able to read drawings, and use measuring equipment to basic standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow clear instructions.
• Positive, enthusiastic, committed, and flexible attitude toward team members and customers.
• Ability to operate metal fabrication punching and bending machines according to drawings.
• Carry out daily safety checks and report faults immediately.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure work meets drawing specifications.
