What is the overall job?

The Semi-skilled Craftsman will be responsible for maintenance, routine inspections, installation, fault finding, repairs, and services on equipment, services, and fabric-related items at Peterborough City Hospital and associated buildings. Responsibilities include:

• Making necessary repairs and assisting contractors as required
• Understanding and continuously gaining knowledge of electrical/mechanical installations
• Performing regular tests as per HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) and all relevant statutory requirements
• Using relevant tools and equipment, and undertaking cleaning tasks as appropriate
• Supporting the management and technical team to ensure service delivery aligns with contract KPIs, including response times
