A leading auditing firm in Birmingham seeks an Audit Manager to oversee client portfolios and ensure compliance. Responsibilities

  • Participate in external audits, including planning, fieldwork, and completion.
  • Assist managers and partners in finalizing audit files, including drafting accounts and reviewing FRS 102 disclosures.
  • Prepare closing meeting agendas and attend meetings to discuss audit findings.
  • Prepare accounts and tax returns for limited companies, sole traders, charities, and partnerships.
  • Manage VAT returns, payroll, and general accounting tasks.
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare CGT and IHT calculations.
  • Communicate professionally and proactively with clients.
  • Handle HMRC enquiries, investigations, and compliance checks.
  • Produce analysis and reports for client meetings.
  • Supervise and review the work of junior team members.
