A well-established accountancy firm in Leicester is currently recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant to join its thriving and friendly accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual from a practice background who is looking to progress their career in a supportive and flexible working environment.

The successful Semi Senior Accountant will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a varied client base, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships. The role offers exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, alongside continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities of the Semi Senior Accountant:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for Limited Companies, Partnerships, and Sole Traders
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns
  • Communicating with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Reviewing junior team members’ work and assisting with training
  • Meeting with clients face-to-face or liaising via phone/email to discuss accounts and tax matters

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice
  • ACCA part-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments
  • Familiarity with Sage, Xero, and CCH software is desirable
