JGR Recruit in Manchester is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. You will manage your own client portfolio and prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.

The role offers full training, study support, and progression within a close-knit team of five, with hybrid possibilities. You will handle corporation tax, personal self-assessments, and quarterly returns across the UK.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing full sets of limited company accounts, including all necessary reconciliations.
• Experience calculating corporation tax provisions.
• Familiarity with TaxCalc is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Managing your own portfolio of clients
• Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Preparing corporation tax returns and personal self-assessment tax returns
• Completing quarterly returns, including VAT returns and MTD for ITSA
• Supporting additional areas of accountancy, including R&D claims, independent examinations and management accounts
• Providing general accounting support and assisting with ad hoc responsibilities
• Supporting and training junior members of the team
