Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd in Greater Manchester is assisting a friendly accountancy firm in recruiting a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team across the Manchester or Wigan offices. The role focuses on accounts preparation and tax within a varied client portfolio.

You should be AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified, with 2+ years in UK practice, and experience with FRS102/FRS105, CCH, Xero, Sage and Excel.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified
• Minimum 2+ years' experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Knowledge of FRS102 and FRS105
• Experience with software including CCH, Xero, Sage, and Excel
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proactive and client-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and LLPs
• Prepare VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts for a varied client base
• Assist with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work
• Build strong relationships with clients and respond to day-to-day queries
• Work closely with Managers and Director across a broad range of assignments
