Job description

Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants established for over 30 years, with offices in Swinton, Chapeltown, Doncaster, Dinnington, and Barnsley.

The business is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join our Barnsley office.

Due to the highly varied client base, the successful candidate will gain exposure across all areas of accounting within a supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the senior management team, duties include:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for review
  • Preparation of personal tax returns
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns
  • Develop experience with cloud accounting products
Skills and Qualities

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, with experience in preparing accounts to final review stage.

We prefer applicants with AAT level 3/4 or PQ ACCA qualifications, but experienced professionals without formal studies are encouraged to apply.
