Job summary

Curtis Recruitment Limited is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant for a firm of accountants near Maidenhead. The role suits someone who is part qualified ACCA, ACA, or AAT, with at least a year’s UK practice experience.

You will support seniors with statutory and management accounts, tax/VAT work, bookkeeping and payroll during busy periods, plus company secretarial and ad hoc duties. A study package and mentoring support progression.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• IT literate with experience of QuickBooks, Sage and/or Xero.

We are recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a dynamic firm of accountants to be based at the firm’s office on the outskirts of Maidenhead. The role would suit someone who is part qualified ACCA, ACA, or AAT, with at least a year’s experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.

This is a fantastic all-round accounting position that will support the seniors who are under pressure because of the continued growth of the business and this is an opportunity to be a part of that growth.

As Semi Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will grow with training where required, to include:

• Statutory accounts preparation – supporting senior members of the team with year-end accounts and advisory work
• Management accounts preparation
• Assisting with tax and VAT work
• Bookkeeping
• Liaise with clients and assisting with queries
• Assisting with payroll as required during busy periods
• Company secretarial
• Ad hoc duties as required

• At least one years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Ideally have started studying for an accountancy qualification, although not essential
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be IT literate and ideally have some experience of QuickBooks, Sage and/or Xero
• Have a willingness to learn and develop an accountancy career within practice
