Job description

Bennett & Game are delighted to be working with a local accountancy practice in Nottingham as they recruit for a Semi Senior Accountant. Offering £26,000-£30,000, study support, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, standard pension auto enrolment, and 1 day a week WFH.

This role is well suited to someone with a minimum of 1 year's accountancy practice experience, but ideally someone who can hit the ground running, with a passion for serving clients and delivering an excellent service.

Semi Senior Accountant Job Overview

1. Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
2. Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
3. Preparation and submission of VAT returns using cloud-based software
4. Liaising with clients, consistently delivering an excellent service, answering queries, maintaining relationships, and gathering information
5. General Bookkeeping Assignments
6. Preparation of management accounts

Semi Senior Accountant Job Requirements

1. AAT Level 3 or AAT Level 4 qualified, or part ACCA/ACA
2. Previous experience in accountancy practice, minimum 1-2 years
3. Experience in client management, preparing statutory and management accounts, and tax returns
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
6. No requirement for visa sponsorship

Semi Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

Salary range depending on experience: £26,000-£30,000 (potentially higher DOE). 24 days holiday, plus bank holidays. Study support. Auto enrolment on standard company pension. Onsite parking. 1 day of working from home per week, after probation.
