Job description

Semi-Senior Accountant required to join a well-established firm of chartered accountants based in Harrow. This is a full-time, permanent position working from 09:00 to 17:00. The firm offers a range of services including bookkeeping, general accountancy, business planning, and tax advice.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare accounts for clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
2. Prepare VAT returns and company accounts.
3. Liaise with HMRC and ensure client accounts are up to date.
4. Communicate regularly with clients to keep them informed.

Candidate Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification.
• Experience with double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with VT, Xero, TaxCalc, and CCH software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on approach and flexibility to undertake various bookkeeping, accounts, and VAT duties.
