Semi Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant required to join a well-established firm of chartered accounts based in Harrow, on a full time, 09.00 - 17.00 permanent basis. They provide a range of services to their clients, from bookkeeping and general accountancy to business planning and fantastic tax advice.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounts for all our clients - sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Prepare VAT returns and company accounts primarily
• Liaise with HMRC and ensure client accounts are up to date
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis to ensure they are kept informed

Minimum Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years' previous experience working in an accountancy practice and will be at a minimum AAT L3 qualified.

• Previous double-entry bookkeeping experience
• Software: VT, Xero for bookkeeping, TaxCalc for final accounts and tax work, CCH for practice management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The successful applicant will be hands-on within the small firm and will be happy to undertake a range of bookkeeping, accounts, and VAT duties to meet the clients' needs

Compensation and Benefits:

£30-35,000 per annum dependent on experience.
