Puro Accountancy are delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice, who are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Semi-Senior to join their practice in Derby. As an integral member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients from a variety of sectors and be responsible for providing excellent accounting and advisory services to their clients.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with a wide range of turnover in a wide range of sectors
• Preparation of business tax computations and corporation tax computations
• Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
• Ad hoc work as required by clients
• Liaising with clients to collect information and resolve queries for all work undertaken
• Assist with some audits

You:

• At least 2-3 years practice experience in all aspects of accounting, taxation, management information and statutory compliance
• Studying ACA or ACCA. AAT Qualified considered.
• Experience of owner-managed small to medium-business accounts preparation including statutory financial statements
• Be flexible and proactive in managing multiple priorities
• Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone, and by email
• The ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail
• Be able to demonstrate your initiative to solve problems
