Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is recruiting a Semi Senior Accountant for a growing UK accountancy practice. The role offers exposure across accounts, tax and advisory, with progression toward professional qualification.

We seek an ambitious candidate with UK practice experience, aiming to broaden skills while working in a hybrid setup with a strong focus on client service and advisory support.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and studying ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of Xero or other cloud accounting software.
• Iris experience desirable.
• Excellent organisational, communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive with the ability to manage multiple client assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare Corporation Tax, Self Assessment Tax Returns, P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax reports.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Support clients with day-to-day accounting and tax queries.
• Identify tax planning and business improvement opportunities.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Assist managers with advisory projects and ensuring deadlines are met.
