Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a SEMH Tutor in Stockport to support students unable to attend mainstream education. The role involves 1:1 maths and English tutoring for pupils with SEMH needs, including emotional based school refusal. Sessions can range from one to five hours per day, during or after school.

The position is long-term to provide consistency and progress. A teaching qualification and experience with EHCPs are required, with a passion for making a difference to young people.

£30 per hour (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The Role

Vision for Education are looking for a SEMH Tutor who can teach Maths & English to students unable to attend education in Stockport. The desired SEMH Tutor will be working 1:1 with students with social emotional and mental health needs and emotional based school refusal. The Tutor role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning. Sessions can be one - five hours per day (during or after school hours) depending on the student's needs.
