Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a SEMH Tutor in Bury to teach Maths and English to students unable to attend mainstream education. This long-term, 1:1 role supports students with social, emotional and mental health needs, addressing attendance challenges and barriers to learning. Sessions range from one to five hours daily, during or after school.

The ideal candidate holds a teaching qualification, experience with EHCPs, and a passion for making a difference to young people.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths and English to students unable to attend education in Bury.

The Role

Vision for Education are looking for a SEMH Tutor who can teach Maths & English to students unable to attend education in Bury. The desired SEMH Tutor will be working 1:1 with students with social emotional and mental health needs and emotional based school refusal. The Tutor role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning. Sessions can be one - five hours per day (during or after school hours) depending on the student's needs.

Requirements

The desired SEMH Tutor will have:

• A teaching qualification

• An ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions
• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people
