We are looking for a teaching assistant with a real passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified and experienced. Newly qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants are welcome to apply.

Details:
  • Location: Wakefield WF12
  • Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Contract (Likely Long-Term)
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • Pay: Minimum GBP 90 per day
  • Additional: Must like Dogs!
Responsibilities:
  • Support and scaffold children in the classroom.
  • Prepare resources with the teacher.
  • Work effectively in partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
  • Adapt practice to support the varied needs of children.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
  • At least Level 2 trained.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above.
Eligibility Requirements through Prospero Teaching:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
