Job summary

Senovo is recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEN school in Newham. You will support secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, using calm, low-arousal approaches and clear expectations to promote engagement.

The role works with teachers, therapists and pastoral colleagues to provide consistent safeguarding and support. QTS not required; right to work in the UK and DBS check will be part of compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in SEN schools, youth work, mentoring or behaviour support.
• Calm under pressure with strong de-escalation skills.
• Patient, reliable and committed to safeguarding.
• QTS is not required for this support role.
